Is there a good free or very cheap data recovery application?
I've been trying to restore a certain directories that were erased when I used maxblast3 to copy a very partition to another, and I was wondering if there is a free or very cheap method of recovering my lost directory. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the replies. So far, the best results have come from this program called virtual lab which requires you to buy quota for > 100 dollar prices. I'll give the other software a try, so far they haven't matched the results of Virtual Lab . I wish I knew a little more about the recovery process so I could do this for free on my own.edit: I've had a small measure of success with a package called "GetDataBack" by Runtime Software. It's 69 dollars for the FAT partition version and it gives me better results than virtual lab! I'm in love
