Crazy oc'ing! Submerged motherboard...

These people submerged their entire motherboard in non-conductive fluid to cool it!

This wasnt the one invloving Mineral Oil Read the article, it uses something called Fluorinert combined with Liquid nitrogen...

Quote:
Fluorinert™- is an electronic testing fluid manufactured by 3M™. It is used to immerse devices to test its quality, physically and electrically. Devices dry quickly without residue to be cleaned. These 3M™ Fluorinert™ Electronic Liquids have good stability, high dielectric strength and are compatible with sensitive materials.
More on that here...

No it isnt. Its costs too much and the flourinert froze before long enough.
I read it some months ago though, IIRC, so dont blame me if they fixed the freezing problem and updated their last few pages.

What is the point of submerging your entire rig into liquid gold when a proper LH2 cooling system would do better, not to mention potentially cheaper and neater?

Well, I've seen a proper [and better] LN2 colling that still have PC look [extreme overclocked PC usually not look like PC anymore] because using internal tube and compressor [LN2] inside the CPU case.
