Final Fantasy IV Transparency?

Hi!

I was wondering if there is any way to make the transparency and the water work in FFIV (Final Fantasy Anthology PAL). I Have tried both hardware and software graphics plugins, but with no luck at all...

This is a problem with the Emu itself and cannot be fixed by any gfx plugin. If it still bothers you, try either a different Emu (PSXeven for example) or play the SNES version (Final Fantasy II) on an SNES emulator.

Nope, here in Europe Athology is FF4( FF2us) and FF5.
FF6 (FF3us) was released seperatly here, with a demo disc for FFX

I see no reason to play FF4 on the PSX. It has slower loading times(i dunno about emu). Graphics, compadibility, and speed on ZSNES are great. Unless you really want to see the movies I suggest playing the SNES version.

As far as I know it is completely retranslated, and that is one reason why i have bought the PSX version. The other reason must be to really OWN the final fantasy games...

And other than the memory card, there's really no loading time at all in FF4 (if you're playing off an ISO). And yes, the official translation is excellent, even when compared to the fan translation.

I have exactly the same problems in PSXeven, where the transparency doesn't work at all (doorways, edge of the flying ship in the beginning). Neither do the various effects like water... when i turn Alpha Multipass off i se the water, but "semi-transparent" over the whole image.

Try a software plugin like Pete's PEOP 1.20

It seems that there's no solution, yet (PSXeven was just a speculation...). The Soft Plugin doesn't help there very much.

edit: Spocker, you said that you could see the water with Alpha Multipass disabled... Maybe it IS a plugin problem. Are there any Lewpy's plugin users around???
