ePSXe crash on Esc or Alt+Tab (res. i think)
Hey, if anyone can help me with this would be great ..My ePSXe works fine normally. Now, if i press Esc to minimize it or if i Alt+Tab from it, everything seems to go fine as well. However, when i try to Continue after Esc or to Alt-Tab/click back into the emulator, it crashes... well more like it just instantly quits.. I have seen several people post about issues similar to this before but I have never seen an actual answer that worked for me I have : 733 intel pentium |||, 128 RAM, Windows XP. (yeah yeah slow but ePSXe ran perfect in win98 so its not the issue at hand)here comes the bad part.... Voodoo 3 I have Dozer's 1.1 drivers for voodoo 3 and Lewpy's 3dfx/Glideł GPU 1.40 ePSXe plug in I looked around quite a bit and i believe that Dozer 1.1 is best v3 XP drivers out there now.. nevertheless, I have a very strong suspicion this has to do with video. In fact, I suspect this is related with resolution/refresh rate change when going from ePSXe to desktop and back. Also, I have a similar problem with CounterStrike, which is of course 3D as well. If anyone has used ePSXe with v3 in XP or if anyone has any idea what could I do, please help

you could try this... whenever you are going to alt+tab or esc, press f1 while in the game to make a quicksave and press f3 to load it once you alt+tab back in or resume the game. hope it works.

Sounds like a Glide3 driver bug to me ![]() My plugin uses Glide3, as does the 3dfx OpenGL driver (which, in turn, CounterStrike uses in OpenGL mode). If you have tried all the known suggestions (change your desktop to a different colour depth than 16 bit, don't run the same resolution in-game as your desktop is set to, etc.), then I can only suggest trying another Glide3 driver. You can place a Glide3 driver in the ePSXe base directory, and my plugin will use that. This means you can easily experiment with different Glide3 drivers without changing your main system configuration. |

I have had this problem before and my problem was a bad cd or iso.
