Question Does ePSXe run back-up burnt copies as good as an ISO?

I've got a LEGIT back-up copy of a game (yes, I own it), namely, Xenogears, and I was wondering if ePSXe will run the game just as well as if I used the original disks. I will be using Nero to burn it.

Any specific options I should select in Nero to make the game run? I've already got the image in a .NRG format..so should I only load it up in a Nero and hit BURN?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it will run the same as the original CD.

Just make sure you extract a RAW file. Then just burn it on a CD.

Umm, sorry I'm kind of a clueless newB, but, what is a RAW file? You mean all the data from the CD, no?

I used Nero to extract a data image and it's in the form .NRG, now if I run Nero and burn it should work fine in ePSXe, right?

Ok, the normal CDR plug-in (The one that erm...came with ePSXe) will work fine?

Ah well, if not I'll figure it all out, thanks for the help!

I've always used CDRWIN for making iso's. Just try burning the file you have on a CD, and if it doesn't work then rerip an image. But under the read option in Nero try checking "force raw reading" for data 1 and 2 modes. When I used CDRWIN i had to make the iso using a raw mode of some kind. That's why you just can't extract the files off the cd in explorer, cause of the copy protection. It fakes the comp into thinking it's bad data. So raw mode copy's the bad data (actually good) off the PSX cd. I'm pretty sure that's how things work.

In fact, every cdrom plugin that worked with your original copy will work with your back up.
