Question Win2k/Win98 Networking (weird problem)

I've just upgraded my OS to Win2k pro and something really funny is happening on my p2p network. The other machine (Win98SE) can't see me neither I can see the other machine through the network but we're able to ping each other and even play through the network! Weird isn't it?
I just wanted to know how can we see each other in order to exchange files.

Thanks in advance.

Did you set file sharing? From what I've experienced, when you want to access Win2K OS with Win98 from across the network, you need to set an account in Win2K. Then Win98 uses that account to log into Win2K

1) Make sure both computers have "Client for Microsoft Networks" installed
2) Make sure both are configured with the same workgroup

This should make the computers visible in the "Network Neighborhood", but this doesn't always work in a Win9x/WinNT mixed network (don't ask me why ). If this is the case, try accessing the other computer directly by going to Start -> Run, then typing "\\computername" or "\\ipaddress", like this:

\\badaro

or

\\10.0.0.2
