shadow of destiny

well, I got this game a few days ago.

the game doesn't have good graphics
and the game doesnt let you configure the keys just to choose between keyboard and joypad.
at the beginning it was even hard to know what key was for items and maps.
( which is right Ctrl and Left Shift )

it was just a bit boring at the beginning but later it got pretty interesting with the people you get to know.

I'm at level 6 right now
but will start the game because I did give a few answers wrong hehe

if you're in the mood to get a good adventure PC game then I can recommend this game it's great even though I haven't finished this game.

( this review kinda sucks )

It's actually a great game, with 8 endings if I remember correctly. A great story as well. I played the PS2 version though

No, Syed. It's hard to put it in THAT way What u're talking about is "Lucas Arts", the finest adventure making company of all time as anyone who played Sam & Max or Day of the Tentacle would agree. It's less interactive than that, a bit more serious too. It's just the way the games is that makes it so different. U trying to escape death and fate. So, u die. U come back again some time before the death and try to fix the string of events so u won't die. Sometimes, it only takes a few words with a local bartender. And sometimes, it involves going back to the 70's to change the museum into a library and go back to read a rare book to find a poison's antidote and then go to the dark ages to get that antidote since the animal that u can get it from is exctinct in the year 2000 (where u come from)!!! See what I mean. Plus u have to do that before the "awaited hour" comes and u die Nice, isn't it? Ofcourse, it's not as tough as it might sound. There r many points in the game where u can change history and the way things end up; hence the 8 endings of the game

Never did play Silent Hill. But I don't think the control system is the same, no? I thought SH had RE-like controls

That is a great explanation Nameless. Really, that helped a lot. Still I am not sure whether I'll buy this game or not.

Can't u rent it or something? It's really a matter of tastes, nothing more. The story and game play r way cool but the controls are a teeny weeny bit boring after a while. Nothing as frustrating as RE anyway .

Like I said, it's just taste. I personally consider RE's controls too annoying to overlook in order to get the story.....and from a guy who would do anything for a good story, that's quite a statement. In any case, let us not stray from the topic. Games spot gave it a 8.2 and I usually like their reviews. I forgot to tell u about a nice little thing they did. The more u go into the past, the more the colours get older. So, if u go to the dark ages, everyone and everything is brown. In the 60's it's black and white Nice touch IMHO. Let me post a screen shot
