PC1600 = 200 Mhz DDR (100 x 2)
PC2100 = 266 Mhz DDR (133 x 2)
PC2700 = 333 Mhz DDR (166 x 2)
PC3200 = 400 Mhz DDR (200 x 2)

... how did they arrive at those names? Is it the memory bandwith?

Esturk, I LOVE the new avatar.

Other than that, I can't contribute much to this. Demigod explained it once, and it made sense, but I have forgotten since then...

I think I know now.. Its based on the memory bandwith.
PC1600 = 1.6gb/s
PC2100 = 2.1gb/s
PC2700 = 2.7gb/s
PC3200 = 3.2gb/s
?? This is just my guess

It's not bad... I like Asus' OC boards. Too bad I can't afford them.

I have heard nothing but good things about ASUS boards and this one sounds really nice. Good overclocking (if you're into this) and NForce also. I don't know much about NForce, but I've that it is supposed to be good and guru3d.com has some new NForce drivers as well. I would say, "Go for it and enjoy."
sincerely,

Twinbank looks interesting. Is this the first motherboard to support dual channel DDR?(Still, the Athlon's FSB is no good) The AGP Pro is something new to me though.
TalkingANUS, IIRC the PC3200 has 2.9GB/s of bandwith, the 2700 2.6GB/s, the 2100 2GB/s and the 1600 1.5GB/s. Im not 100% sure though but I should be close.

edit*after reading Craig's post*: I got it all wrong. :embl:

well, based on what i now:

PC1600 = (100*2)*8 = 1.6 GB/s
PC2100 = (133*2)*8 = 2.1 GB/s
PC2700 = (166*2)*8 = 2.7 GB/s
PC3200 = (200*2)*8 = 3.2 GB/s

Dual-channel DDR will do absolutely no good for an Athlon, since it's limited by its FSB. I don't know what Nvidia was thinking when they went with it. It's only real application is when using the on-board GPU but what self-respecting hardcore PC enthusiast would do that?

AGP Pro's been around for a while. My Pentium 3 board, the Asus TUV4X has an AGP Pro slot.

simply:
people buy numbers and so as people that dont know about hardware thinks that a GF4mx is better than a GF3ti (that we all know is not true )

for the Ram numbers, just tell me, what should u buy: a PC2100 or a PC266? and as far as people see a PC133 and a PC266 some of them say "is not that big difference" but if they see PC133 and PC2100 people shoulkd say "thats a damn BIG IMPROVEMENT"

u see? :P

Well Demigod, mind to explain to me what IS an AGP Pro slot?

About that PCxxxx thing, that's on papers but practically the bandwith varies, no? So my sentence is not totally wrong(in a sense), as I recalled those numbers from benchmarks, right? *stubborn*

IIRC they are AGP sockets for graphics workstations. They are basicaly normal AGP ports with a higher power consumption. Normaly cards on these ports take up 2 or more slots.
