Question PSX emulation on a notebook

do you think i could play psx games on a notebook with decent frame rate, cause i will buy a new dell inspiron, the specs are:

dell inspiron 8000
pentium !!! 1 ghz
128 ram
dvd8x
20gb hd
windows 2000 professional
15" uxga screen active matrix

and the video card i don't know what's better:
geforce 2 go or a mobile ati both with 32 mb vram

it could be done, or couldn't be done

i heard some problems about DVDROM on Notebooks having problems with PSX cds. You know, they cut stuff to make it smaller than the standard DVDROM for any desktop system.

But I hope the Dell's DVDROm doesnt have that kinda problemo

It will run very well,now that's a real portable PSX.
I hope I could buy myself one of these lovely notebooks

ok, thank you, it will be my new pc for home and school. i'm going to start university and i want the best pc i could get. i will be better than my actual pc, i won't have too much time to play but it's good to know that i will have my favourites game working in my notebook.

Im running ePSXe find on a IBM Thinkpad PIII with a DVDROM - I havn't had any problems so far reading any PSX CD's (apart from one REALLY scratched CD which I just ISO'ed)

I own a Toshiba TECRA 8000. 400Mhz and NeoMagic 256AV for VGA.
I never got it to work at descent fps and only using soft GPU plugins.

I hope my Boss will change it soon....

Notebook is very far away from so much in this momnet
I would say your notebook is much better than my desktop too....................

i receive my laptop today and i get full speed in all games at 1024x768x16, also in n64 emulators i get full speed

heh!! thats really nice althought i hope i got one i'm tired of playing in my old gameboy color during vacant and also the snake in my cell really suuuuuucccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
