Resident Evil - Crash :P
Ok, I dont know what I do wrong here... I have tried both using the CD, and created an ISO of the CD (to make sure it was not the CD driver). Plugins: GFX Pete 1.67 SPU Peops 1.1 CDR Pete 1.1 The computer is: Windows XP DragonTower, 340w EPOX 8K5a2+ Athlon XP 2100+, cooled with a MCX462-A ASUS v8200 GeForce 3 Ti500 Audigy Platinum EX 120gb Western Digital 7200rpm ATA100 80gb Western Digital 7200rpm ATA100 30gb Seagate 5400rpm ATA66 10gb IBM 5400rpm ATA33 The Problem: Ok, I started this with Pete's 1.57 gpu, using D3D. I watch the intro, I start the game. Once it passed the intro movie it shows the message about "They are inside the building". The next thing that should happen (I know this from the PC version) is that you see the characters in 3d, they speak awhile, they split up, and the game starts. Instead you see the 2d background (staring down on the hall from the balcony), then a "green polygon" shows up three times, covering the screen. Some garbled sound is heard (voices), then the view flips over to the hall view where you see the three characters (talking). Their skins is garbled, and there is some 2d fuzz scattered around. Then the emulation crash, and you are forced to kill the emulator by task manager. So I updated, tried 1.67. This time, the "green polygon" where multicolored (looked like a rainbow). When the screen is switched, and you see the characters, their models are awfully misshaped (like beams that shoots out from their body). This goes on for like 4-5 seconds, and then crash. I tried in many different setups, and even tried OpenGl... All with the same result. Any idea what Im doing wrong here? And oh, im using 1.5.2 Best Regards JemyM |

1.5.2 is the latest ePSX right? When it come to drivers im using 40.41. Thats not the latest, but Im sceptical that there are anything groundbreaking added in the latest few revisions... Ofcourse, I could try 41.72 and see if there is a difference. Note that there are no difference between d3d and opengl... Best Regards JemyM |

Ok, tried to switch of the SPU IRQ hack, but that had no effect upon the graphics. I am worried that there is something wrong with the bios file (damaged), however, all other games can be run (tried Alaundra, Tekken 3 & Gran Turismo). Best Regards JemyM |
