Where can i download DirectX for WinXP?
Where can i download DirectX for Windows XP Home Edition? I cant find it on the directX website. |

WinXP has the DirectX 8.1b update included with the SP1 update, otherwise you'll have to wait untill DirectX9 is released in a month or two.

Well... there is a slightly different version that you can install with the DirectX 8.1 SDK, but I don't know if you would want to do that or not. (Personally, I am loving the DX configuration tool)

Cool, i didnt know there was such a tool. Is that DirectX 8.1b or just DirectX 8.1? and if i have to reinstall diectX will i have to reinstall the SP1 update?

8.1b, came with SP1.  The tool doesn't come with directx, it comes with the directx SDK uncompiled but there are compiled versions around the net. Go to http://www.smiff.clara.net to get it. (directx control panel, put it in c:/windows/system32)
