Star Ocean EX

I jsut finished watching the anime Star Ocean EX, and it's decidedly screaming for a sequel. I heard that the anime follows pretty much exactly the plot of Star Ocean. Is this correct, and will I lose anything by not playing the first game, and going on to the second Star Ocean?

Anyway, you can always read up on some walkthroughs to check their parallelisms.

Well, i just haven't got eps 26, but there i will know if they go on or not. eps 26 is the end of cd 1 or the end of the anime, i hope just CD1, because i want to see a fully animated battle with indalecio.

It's the end of the anime series
And I don't think they will make new seasons either
Since there ain't no animated fights (like Kenshin OVAs) in the anime, don't expect to see much of them in ep 26
