Brave Fencer Musashi (Stuck)

Hi, I need some help.. I am stuck in Brave Fencer musashi. You know the part where u gotta go get the "Gizmo Gear" Well..
I went down there to where it is, except i picked the wrong one.
And now i cannot get rid of it. I know which one is the right one but i cant pick it up becuzz i cant carry two at one time. Ive tried everything to get rid of it, i cant despose it, ive went back to the geezer and he just says that its not the right one. Well thats about it, If you need any more information, just ask and i will tell.

Any help is appreciated PEACE!

yeah, just liek ryos said, try to look if you have a saved game either in your save state or memory card befor picking up that stuff taht you said. If not, then I guess if your up to it, repeat it again (which is definitely the possible solution)

I wouldn't give up just yet. I've played through the whole game and, at first, I picked up the wrong Gizmo. If I remember correctly, you should try to give the Gizmo to the geezer and then go back to pick up another one after the geezer says that it's the wrong one. I remember that part of the game well, and I know it will be a long trek back and forth (wasn't the Gizmo in the mines?). Just keep it up. The game should still work.
