Funniest Gaming Moments.....
Hello. Im new to thsi place, so i thought id start a thread about your favorite, funny gaming moments. Wether it be you GAMING, something that happened IN a game, or whatever.... Funniest gaming - Being up by 6 in Madden 2002 against my wifes cousin, 4th quarter, 10 seconds, on his 5... Went for a toucdown to widen the gap, and he intercepted it and went all the way for a cheap 1 point win. Game - None that I can think of at the moment.... ![]() Whats yours???? Scotty2Naughty |

A more recent one I remember, well it's not that recent, is when I was playing Goemon's Great Advanture on the N64 with a friend. http://ign64.ign.com/objects/003/003758.html That has got to be the funnest game I've ever seen. I'm not familiar with the entire Goemon series. But this Ebisumaru guy is just so damn funny. Anyway, *the* moment that really got me in that infinite loop of giggles was one time when my friend used his special weapon. It's a freaking megaphone. When he uses it, solid blocks of japanese words come flying out (I wish I knew what they mean, has to be funny) with matching sound effect. Normally that is funny enough as a means of destroying the enemies, or as temporary stepping stones to get to higher places. But this time, I was making a jump over a cliff, and my friend (who was using Ebisumaru) used the megaphone, pushing me over, so I fell all the way down, with an echoing scream too! So I just yelled, "SHUT YOUR BIG MOUTH!" Then we laughed so hard we had to pause the game for a few minutes before we could continue. Since then we just can't help but giggle a little every time we used that special weapon.

Heheh, probably when my sister's ex-boyfriend pointed out that in Mario 64, if you talk to Toad while standing a certain way Mario looks like he's being a little too friendly with Toad. Oh well. It seemed funny. ^_^

Me and my sister laugh when we tried how a person in the game The Sims die. We see differnt version like being toasted in fire, starving the person to death.

in unreal tournament i CREATED the redeemer jump my version of quake's rocket jump, except, the redeemer jump tosses you a lot farther, and in more pieces too, anyways, its hilarious to see.in americasarmy i saw some pretty funny deaths, probably caused by lag... one death, me and this OpFor guy were shooting at each other from the towers on the bridge map, so then after 3 mins of shooting, he decides to go down the ladder, he jumps off, and ... well... lets just say he jumped a little too far... and down he went off the bridge, and my team won ![]() another americasarmy death was when i was facing 6 guys, and i was alone... so the guy on the opposition... throws a grenade at me... except... it hit a car, and bounced back at him... and i was the only one that saw it... then... i hear a blowing up noise... i see a full list of "whoever" was attacked by teammate "whoever" and then i get the mission victory message ![]() last one i can think of... look down... if youve played chrono cross you should remember it

Mine would definately have to be my 40something band teacher trying to figure out a N64 controller. We played goldeneye on license to kill and he still never got a kill in like an hour.

Two for me. First, my son was playing Crystalis on our Nintendo in 1992 andhe reached the main boss and had to kill him the first time (the boss comes back aand you have to kiil him for the final time). Well, he didn't have the proper weapon to kill the boss, he only had a standard weapon, so instead of start from the last save point (my son is stubborn) he figured out the bosses pattern and literally beat him to death w/the standard weapon. It took him over an hour, but he did kill him. It was hilarious to watch him running back and forth hacking and hacking away. Second, back when I had my C-64 computer, I had a game named Space Taxi (remember that one Esturk?) and it talked. Not much but it did talk. Anyway, you had to go a get a passenger from one of the numbered pads in your rocket powered taxi. You then took him to which ever pad he asked to go to. Finally, when you finished the level and picked him up for the last time, he would say "Up please". This ment that you were to take him up and out of that level and on to the next. Well, if you did not go up and went to a pad instead and then set down on that pad, he would say "Up" just "Up" but he sounded really irriated when he said it and the more you did not take him up and out, the more irrated he sounded. I used to laugh myself hoarse over that. sincerely, sx/amiga |

Apparently, the redeemer respawned as he was firing the flak cannon. Since he had the redeemer as his top weapon, it autochanged. As the weapon change was happening, he fired what he thought was his flak cannon but in mid-fire it became a redeemer. Since the "change weapon" animation involves a moment when the weapon is pointed straight down.. that's exactly where the redeemer rocket went. We still laugh about that.

hehe... i usually practice my redeemer jump with my friends on the morpheus map.. which already has low gravity... but not good enough for me... so i set another low gravity mutator and the mutator that makes you jump ultra high... i tell my audience to go to the top of the middle tower... while i go to the top of the top tower... when everything is set, i run forward, aim straight down, jump, and then fire... its really funny to see someone do it... i would know, even after doing it hundreds of times i still get the "lol" and "roflmao" messages in text windows i guess im the ut comedian

. I laughed so hard when I saw that (I know it's cruel but it's so damn funny).I also remember some funny moments in Lufia II. Like when those two robbers are stealing the crown and get blown away by their own dynamite .

I never played UT, but I went back to Quake 2 just the other day. Just like rocket jump, you can jump quite high with an exploding grenade. I had grenades, and was being chased by someone with a railgun. So as I run, I time a grenade just right so it explodes as it reaches my enemy. We were on a bridge, so when he saw the grenade he couldn't dodge to the side. He jumped, all the way to the sky. ![]() Oh and as someone mentioned MGS2... It was fun when I first discovered the camera thing for the comm... Some pretty interesting moves you can make during the long and boring conversation.

Ok one more Quake 2 thing. This would help if you know Tokay Towers. There is an elevator that goes all the way from the bottom to the top (where you get the railgun/BFG). It's common to get chased in there, and then the chaser misses the elevator as you go up. Because there is a little gap between the elevator and the wall, the chaser would sometimes try to shoot a rocket up the gap, in the hopes that you would get hit as you exit the elevator. But I countered it by shooting a rocket of my own down the gap, as I went up. Ahh, the scream of death from down under ![]() Maybe I just haven't played that for so long. I still laughed at it.

MGS2..... You would be amazed at how much time I spent in that game simply humping the guards. But that's another story. For me the funniest game moment I can think of right now is Perfect Dark. I was playing cooperative mode with this annoying neighbor kid, and we were in the elevator going up to the second floor. I got bored, and pointed my K7 at his head and pulled the trigger. It was hilarious because he was totally not suspecting it. He thought I was pointing at some enemy, right up to the moment that his brains flew against the elevator wall. Another funny moment from the same game is when he pulled out a gold magnum in the combat simulator, and shot at me. He missed, and I grabbed his gun and shot him with it. I do that on a regular basis now, but it was hilarious the first time I did it. I also loved the dialogue in Conker's Bad Fur Day. Some of it just cracked me right up. Such as the scenes with Gregg the Grim Reaper "I hate those bloody cats!" or the gargoyle. "Have you ever sat on a piece of gothic architecture for 300 years? It gets right up your arse you know." |
