Wild Arms 2 problem (not one that I've heard of before)...

I'm trying to get Wild Arms 2 up and running (on ePSXe of course), with little success. :eyes:

I heard about the bios problem and downloaded the 7502.bin bios, and it allows me to get one step further... to the intro screen that flashes "Press Start to Continue", over and over again, and no matter what I do (press start on my gamepad, switch start to keyboard key and press it), it just sits there blinkin' at me like it's giving me the finger over and over again!

Now, I've been through all of FF9 on the emulator with almost perfect results, and suddenly this ***** doesn't want to do a simple action like read in incoming transmissions from the keyboard or gamepad...

Anyone else have any idea what could be going on?

I see a million "locks up after intro screens because of bios problem" posts on webboards around here, and not a single one that deals with this.

Oh, btw, I'm running vers 1.5.2 on Windows XP with a Athlon 1.4Ghz and a GeForce2 400MX 64MB (I'm sure you all wanted to know that)... bottom line is... FF9 (which seemed like from the reviews I've heard, is a cranky game for emus) worked perfectly, and this doesn't even want to get past the "press start" screen. I'll be damned if I let this game win this stupid fight!
