ZSnes Dos IMO. You'll probs some games running with a little frameskip, and no image enhancement.

Hehe.. I've run Zsnes dos on a system 486 66mhz before.. Ran like 10fps.. No sound, no image enhancements.. Frameskipp to 9.. Not very good.. You need atleast a 100mhz 486 to run Zsnes dos at close to full speed with no sound or enhancements..

When I had my 486 DX2 66MHz with 8MB RAM I remember I used to play Zsnes. That time it was an old DOS version, and it ran fairly well (without sound). It was very playable with frameskip set to 2. Try to find an old version of Zsnes.

I agree with fivefeet8, the games runs on slow motion on a machine with those specs even using zsnes, but playing with the configs may allow you to play.

ZNES? Never heard of it.

Anyway, try ZSNES, with the very top graphics mode. (I forget what it is now). Turn off sound, and turn frameskip on, and you should get a somewhat decent framerate, such as maybe 20 fps.

Just get a pentium computer for less than $100 and you should be able to run it a LOT better.

The guy is trying to run it on a 486 66MHz machine. Windows version of Znes would be slower than a limbless sloth.
