You mean you want the database inside executor? So when you look at games you can see what works and doesn't work? I think pete added something like that to it already.. Only a few games are shown though.. Click the big green "i".. You can actually import your own compatibility reports into it..

Well it would help clear out unwanted savestate files since epsxecutor is the only program wherein you can see the image of your save file of a game. Good for saving up disk space.

The image for savestates only takes up 36kbytes!! I have about 90 savestates and the all the pics for them take up only 2 megs.. Not much disk space saved there eh.. The savestates themselves take a lot more space..

I know, but the image will help you determine that savestate so you can delete that savestate coz you can only identify the save state through the epsxecutor...or will be there any other program that is similar to the epsxecutor???

Dont you think you are taking the thread away from the topic. Can you explain if any point in your post have to do anything with compatibility info in epsxecutor ?

You are talking about the savetstate management feature and not the compatibility info.

Correct me if I am wrong.

What? Ok here goes..

Savestates and their pics have the same name except for the extension on the files.. they are easy enough to identify.. Now, epsxe uses those pics ingame.. Now, if you delete the savestate, then the pic will still be there.. But your savestate will be gone.. There are other frontends for epsxe besides executor.. Check the frontends section for more info..

I am still kinda fuzzy on what you said..

If I got that right, the original idea was that we'll add a function to our compatibility script that you can download a zip containing the data from the list in a format which ePSXeCutor can read, so you'll be taking full advantage of the compatiiblity feature within the emu.

This certainly is a good idea, but comes with one problem: Beside the name of the game and the usual infos, we'd need to get the SLUS code from the game as well, otherwise ePSXeCutor won't be able to identify the save game.

Still, this is a thing we'll look into, might add it into the list of ideas for NGEmu v2.0 once I'm able to slow down a bit on the boards and get back to work on the mainpage.

I was thinking of having configs stored on my ste for the BATARD frontend, but I found out that configs stored from my WinXP setup don't work on Win9x.
I might work on uploading them from 98, as those work on XP

This idead is very similar to what some N64 emus have as the INI files. It's very useful, but should take into account that some points like games that may not work well with Hardware accelerated plugins, but may work very well with a Software one.
