mozilla.org 1.0 is finally released.

The Open source web browser, mozilla.org 1.0 is finally released. You can go to http://www.mozilla.org/ to download. It looks like the new AOL package as well as Netscape 7 will be based on this release. This is another great open source effort besides OpenOffice.org 1.0.

btw mozilla.org is skinnable, so you might creat your favorite skin with the XUL interface. You can check it out here: http://www.xulplanet.com/

DeskMod has also hosted a few mozilla.org skins:

Just downloaded it and it's running like a charm. It's been my browser of choice since V0.8.

w00t, just saw it over @ DA. Downloading it.
Does anybody know if there's an "update-version" of it. I don't want to download all the 10 megs everytime.

Nice browser. One question: Anyone knows if there's a way to open a new tab in the background? In other words, without the focus moving to the newer tab?

Under Tabbed browsing in the preferences, check "load links in the backround"

Thanks! Two other questions:

1) I have a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical, and I'm used to having the side buttons mapped to back and forward in the browser. Any ideas on how can I d othis with Mozilla?

2) Anyone else is getting the reply box like in the attached image?

1. Although there aren't any options in the Preferences dialog for such a thing, I believe it's possible to do with a hand-tailored user.pref.

2. I get a variable-width Sans Serif font like in your screenshot, but my text area is much wider.

All discussion board with vBulletin has such 'narrow width' issue as far as I have browsed, which Opera seems to be fine. I don't know what to do with this either. Also, when you paste a very long hyperlink (a continuous string of characters), the width will be extended by a scroll bar. Might need to report this issue to the mozilla.org developers.

EDIT: Cnet has a full review of mozilla.org 1.0, you can check it out by clicking here.

Afaik, there's an option in the vb admin panel for changing the width for different browsers. May be it's just not configured here at this board.

Mine looks smaller than yours does...

The above line filled the entire reply box.
