Wip3out music

Hi,

I ahve had a look through some other posts and cant seem to find a solution to this problem.

I just got Wipeout 3 today, (pal normal version) and stuck in ePSXe 1.5.2 and it went okay, tweaked a bit and its running fine.

Just no music ! :eyes: which is slightly annoying as this is a major part of the game, as it has a very cool sound track.

All other aspects work fine, just no music !

-->
ePSXe 1.5.2
Pete's 1.61 (i think)
Eternal 1.30
Pete's CD

Athlon 1ghz
windows xp pro
sound blaster pci 128
teac cdrw
geforce 2 mx440 64 mb

The XA sound is not playing. Make sure you have it checked in the sound dialog

Nope, all the options are checked in sound.
XA read: On
XA MDEC: On
CDDA: On
SPU Hack: On
The other one: On

Thats what's confused me

PAL vs NTSC

hmmmm, I have Wipeout 3 NTSC, everything works fine for me (also using eternal plug). Maybe this is only an issues for the PAL version.

Are you sure the pass-thru audio cable that *should* go from your CD-ROM drive -> your sound card is there? It fixed my problem!

Failing that, is your CD perhaps scratched?

If neither of the above work (and they're just guesses), try a different CD-Reader plugin... I find Pete's plugin is pretty fast, as well as accurate.

One final suggestion: Try creating an image of your CD on your hard drive, if the sound still does not work you *should* probably change your plugin.
