I'm assuming that this "new" browser is based on the latest mozilla 1.0 RC3 code. Stick with that instead of this, because there is none of that "useful" aol crap to slow it down.

Here's a link to the original press release.

http://wp.netscape.com/newsref/pr/newsrelease577.html

Ironically things did not turn out as was planned. The NS 5 code was so horrenously bad that it was scrapped and instead they reversed the situation, ie they based the NS6 browser on the open source code that was developed in parallel at www.mozilla.org . (NS 6.2 is actually Mozilla 0.941 with AOL messenger, winamp, and complusary email activation tacked on)

Mozilla kicks ass. I tried it yesterday. But I still love IE. Netscape is just..... Mac.

Because AOL likes making money on the ignorance of people.

I'm amazed a lot of people still use Netscape 4.7. And yet they complain when sites don't support it properly, even though it's ridiculously old and outdated. Thinking about that statement, that does sound kind of like Mac.

I have a friend that does that. She absolutely refuses to use IE.

Yep. I do. Here's a shot. The browser has been skinnable for quite some time. However it's only recently since they finalised XUL 1.0 that skins have started to appear. (although my favorite is still the modern theme).

I'm using Version 1.0 RC3. The final edition is due anyday now.
