help with directpad pro interface
Hello, I've built my own directpad pro interface using the instructions on http://www.emulatronia.com/reportaje...xeng/index.htm last night. I've double-checked all wirings and the drivers and when I tested it, it didn't work. None of the buttons or the directional pad worked in the properties of the DirectpadPro Controller tab. The Analog light doesn't light up either when I press on Analog. I have a few questions: 1. Will adding a 5 volt direct feed in the circuit, as the tutorial suggested work? 2. In the tutorial and the driver zip file, the circuit diagrams seem reversed. I'm assuming that the one in the tutorial you're looking at the female connector (the one with holes) and at the driver zip file you're looking at the male connector (the one with pins)? 3. Can I safely plug or disconnect the interface to the parallel port when my PC is turned on? |

Yes, it hangs in the calibrate mode too and there is a flicker, although I can get out of it by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and closing the Directpad Pro window. I'll try to add the 5v direct feed later and see if it works. According to http://pub54.ezboard.com/falltechbox...picID=14.topic , newer motherboards don't supply the pad with enough power, so adding the 5v line directly will help.

carefulllllll
adding a external will solve the problem i tested it. it works!!!! but note that to power the motor you need another power source to make the analog lead don't blink I'm so happy coz i make it work all my pc games also works but when i clean my pc, remove all things that i attached to it Putting it back i supllied it 9V instead of 5V my controllers IC burned so now i'm using my genius max fire G09D so be carefull if the IC burns you can't fix it anymore

I put in the 5v direct feed last night and it worked. And it worked GREAT! Better than my Gamepad Pro USB! I may try the Dual Shock support later.
