Use epsxe's wizard then just choose (or at least I would recommend) a software video plugin (software video plugins work best on 2d games)

Here's our "Standard Recommendations":

GPU: For your card, Pete's OpenGL should be the best, but if some game has graphical issues try Peops'. Also, as someone already pointed out, Peops' is great for 2D games.

SPU: Start with the Internal one. It isn't the best sounding IMHO, but it doesn't require much configuration. When you're confortable, switch to Eternal. You'll probably have to tweak some settings (like Buffer Size), but it'll be worthy.

CDR: Both the Internal ones and Pete's work wonderfully here. But, if you have some free space in your HD, I think it's best to run the game from an ISO image. If you need help creating one, search the boards, there are lots of threads on this.

i use pete d3d for bof4. peops is good (maybe the best) for 2d games but should not be used on 3d games unless they don't work with the 3d plugins. 3d games will run faster on the 3d plugins and look smoother.
