Gpu Pete 1.61

Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.61 does something really weird. It plays FFIX perfectly except for the message box. The text box message is flat, has no textures or anything. I have played FFIX on 1.59 and it doesn't seem to have the same problem...its just makes the text box invisible, but the text is still intact. Anyone every experience this? Is there a way to fix it? Thax in advance. ^-^
