try to use a software renderer & pete's directsound spu.
if you still have problems, try updating your drivers or try other emus.

Our old computer had an 8mb ATI Rage Pro and an ESS1868 card or something, and it went fast at any game at 512x384 w/ Pete's D3D with usual options on (extended filterring). It was a K6-III 450mhz, I don't know what you have, but I'm sure you should be able to get somewhat similar results. Try getting new drivers (The latest ones are April 1999, sadly) they seemed to help out quite a bit on that old computer.

hi Ultragunner, expert464

thanks for the reply...
I have solved my problem yesterday..for people with similar hardware with me, u may try :

Video : P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver v1.51

Audio : Eternal SPU Plugins 1.30

and a few different configuration which may suit you

o yeah, I ve got another problem now...why i can'r save my game?
I can't save neither using 'memory card' nor 'state save'...
if i use memory card, after saving the game, and I usually use CTRL ALT TAB to go out of fullscreen and then press the X to close the window..but I think this isnt allowed since it didnt save it..I cant go to FILE -> EXIT, becoz, if I go to the epsxe window it will automatically open the fullscreen again...
is there any solution for this memcard problem, or maybe how to use the 'save state', because apparently it also not working...

thx in advance,

Ferdinand

Well the problems in saving on memcard is an know issue... a solution for that is..... you need a memory card with any xenogears file... and other in blank.. then you copy the file on the firtst to the blank and thats all.....
have you ever tried the hotkeys for savestate, i mean
F1... to save a state
F2.... to change save state slot
F3.. to load a state
hope this solve your problem
