Anybody with a voodoo4??
What are the best drivers for this card?? I have had the original Drivers, and the newest versions from 3dfx. Right now i am using openGL drivers because someone on this board recommended it, but the OpenGL doesnt work all that well. I have seen several from voodoofiles.com, but i am not sure which ones are the best. I have heard good things about WickedGL drivers, are they any good? And which do you think are the best? Thanx in advance NuGgEt |

Yes.. wickedgl drivers are the best.. If you have winxp, then voodoo cards and ogl have problems... Check for some updated 3rd party drivers for your card.. I am using the underground Winxp voodoo 5/4 drivers and d3d/glide runs great.. Haven't tested much ogl though..

They can, but performance wise, d3d and glide are better on voodoo cards..

I think voodoo files has an older version of wickedgl that doesn't need to be registered.. The only difference is that the wickedgl logo gets shown on the screen in the demo.. NOt too distracting..

I hope ur still here fivefeet8, because i need some help. I downloaded the wickedgl drivers from both voodoofiles.com and the official site, and both of them said that the file size was corrupt and unusuable!! Is there anywhere else i can download them, or fix this problem? Oh yea, before it said it was unusable, it prompted me if i wanted to install the drivers, so the application does work (sorta) thanx!

That is where i downloaded it from. Heres the message: First.. "This will install Metabyte WickedGL. Do you wish to continue? Yes/No (Buttons)" I click yes, then: "This file is not the correct size or is corrupt, and is unusable."

Well, i have been watching the past downloads. I am on 56k, and every time after 5 min it kinda just stops, the furthest i have gotten is like 80%... Thats weird cause i have downloaded a bunch of stuff today (its kinda an updating day), and everything that has taken 15-30 minutes has been just fine! I will try this new file...

Might be your isp.. Complain to them.. Hehe.. Or your modem.. Try using those download managers.. They will let you continue your messed up downloads at another time.. I use getright personally sometimes for large files..
