Which Phantasy Star?

Which Phantasy Star is the best? Iīve already finished the 4 and Iīd like to play another between 1, 2, or 3.

I have heard people say that PS2 is the best, but I haven't finished it.. Started it way back when, but never had the time to.. PS3 was pretty good I think.. Definately check on PSonline.. It's coming to PC..

BTW.. Phantasy Star 1 was on the sega master system.. 8bit.. Still a pretty darn good 8bit rpg in it's day..

Arenīt the graphics for PS1 pretty old? Is it still playable, or is it too old?

I canīt say anything about PS 1, but I played 2 and 3,
and I think PS 2 is better (donīt know why,
but I didnīt like PS 3 back then).
PS 4 is the best (and the only one I finished).

Like I said, in it's day, it was one of the best 8bit rpgs around.. It's definately still playable.. But remember it's 8bit.. You may be suprised at how good it actually is..

I'd go for PS1, it's the second best IMHO (PS4 is the best).

I didn't like PS2 or PS3.

PS 1 is a classic and deserves to be played. The SMS emulator Meka plays it perfectly. PS 2 is quite good but is extremely hard. PS 3 has great graphics but is not as hard as (at least to me), PS 2. So I would suggest PS 1, PS 3, and then PS 2.
sincerely,

The graphics in PS1 really turned me off. I think I will just wait for the GBA release, and hope the tweak the graphics a little. (I can always hope. ) I'll play it anyway, regardless of whether it's better or not, but I prefer to have it on a real system than emulated.

A very good question. I am assuming so, but information on it is sketchy at best. For confirmation, I think we need to wait for E3. The cart will have the first 3 phantasy star games on it though, and will be released in early 2003.

lol.

Phantasy Star Online for GameCube.

It's essentially a port of the Dreamcast version, but includes 3 new character classes, and 2 extra worlds.
