No speech during Resident Evil 3 movies (another thread...)
I know there's a ton of threads about this but...I still can't get it to work even though I've read them all. With epsxe's internal sound plugin I have no sound at all in different parts of the game. With Eternal 1.20 the sound is perfect, exept during the movies, I have no speech. Well, to be precise, from time to time I can hear the beginning of a word, but it dissapears directly. I have enabled 'accurate cdrom timing', but it doesn't help, I guess that option doesn't do anything for me since I'm running of an iso. I have a Soundblaster Live value with latest drivers. Someone have a clue?

first of all, use Dsound, its the best for RE3(or for me:d) second, disable spu irq in the emu, but enabled in the plugin. Add subchannel support to see if that helps. |

Try using an older version of epsxe.I finished all Resident Evil games on epsxe 1.4 and all of them worked perfectly.

doesnt work for me either, I tried almost every combination of settings I can think of, but nothing fixes it. Seems like exactly the same problem, every now and then I catch the first syllable of a sentence, bit thats it,

yes, try using 1.50 epsxe, with PEOps 1.5 plugin and Dsound, and SPU IRQ OFF.

I fixed the problem once, but I can't remember how anymore. I used either Iori's SPU, or Eternal. I can't remember which. the GPU plugin shouldn't matter. I always played it with Pete's OpenGL. |

I don't get that becasue resident evil 3 works fine in epsxe 1.5.1 even with and iso the only time it did not work in epsxe 1.5.1 was when I enalbed subchannel reading even if I was using an iso so I think that subchannel reading option effects the sound on this game but it is cool to use because its runs ff9 without the patch
