Problems with Breath of fire 4

I originally posted this in someone else's post, so I thought maybe I should start my own. I'm running the game off an ISO, but basically when I try to go into a certain town, the emulator kicks out and has this on the DOS window:

* Running ePSXe emulator version 1.5.1.
* Memory handlers init.
* ePSXe: PSX BIOS loaded [bios\SCPH1001.BIN].
* Init ISO code ... ok
* NTSC cdrom detected
* Doing init gpu[0]...
* Gpu open[0]...
* Direct input init ok.
* Doing spu init...
* Spu open...
* Pad Analogic enabled
* Closing spu ...
* Closing gpu ...
* Shutdown gpu ...
* Closing ISO system.
SPEC Opcode 3f UNK (PC 00000068) (00000028) (7985,2)

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Pentium 566
Voodoo 5500PCI
Audigy Soundcard
Phillips CDRW800

All replies are appreciated

I think this problem is repertoried. I donīt know how to pass it with ePSXe, but there are no problems with Vgs, so you could go with it.

I believe this happens at Kiara when you try to enter
you MUST apply the built in PATCH to the emulator to get by this. Apply the patch just before you enter, after you save remove the patch as it causes odd problems in battles.

That's what I did.

There is a built in patch for the game for it,
Click:
CHEAT->Edit Cheat Codes
Then click LOAD
and select breath_of_fire_4_usa.cht
then click OPEN then click OK

Do this JUST before you enter the town.

There are two other places you need to do this.
