questions, please help

ok, for one thing OpenGL has GREAT graphics, but terrible backgrounds for me, also I use Pete's DSound for Syphon Filter and sometimes the sound just stops but kinda sqeaks, it'll sometimes kick itself back to normal but most of the time not. This happens for other games too. Please, don't tell me to use Eternal plugin as it just makes crappier sound, choppy. Thanks

Also, I'm gettin Syphon Filter 3 tonight and I need to know what plugins too use and settings, as these problems are prolly in it too.
I'm using Pete's OpenGL 1.60 the settings are:

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.60
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
GFX card: GeForce2 MX/AGP/3DNOW!

- Frame skipping: off

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Alpha multipass: on

- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Full vram: off
- Game fixes: on [00000040]

Pete's DSound Plugin settings are:

Volume: loudest
Enable XA playing ticked
Change XA speed, on(could this cause choppy sound?)

Misc: 1: High compatibility mode

SPU IRQ Enabled in plugin and Sound window options.

EPSXE CDR ASPI core 1.51

Accurate CD rom timing activated

Subchannel support enabled.

Thanks

Accurate CD rom timing activated ? .... you dont need this for SF3 ... use the internal spu plugin maybe this help you with the sound problem
