Ff 10

ummm... is there any version of FF10 for PS (not PS2) or PC... just asking... since PS2 is out, most of the PS game maker is now focusing to the development of PS2 technology (like SQUARESOFT, what a waste for PS gamer like me) ... sigh...

Games developer making new games on PS2 console is actually great, that way they can develope their game in higher quality, however, only for PS2 owners . Me myself don't have PS2, anyway, there're still a lot of high qualty PSX RPGs/games, have you got all of those?

This thread got nothing to do with ePSXe, moving!

I think that's a fair enough comment actualy. FFX just simply isn't possible on the PS1 without a plethoria of discs and a massive reduction in a/v quality.
Half the perks of FFX over the previous games are a/v tweaks that can't realisticly be achieved on the PS1. It's not like askin will there be a port of FFX for the SNES, but it's like asking if there will me such a FF7 port.

I think it's pretty fair as well. After all, the Ps2 is only like what? 10X more powerful than the PSX? Games get ported up, not down.

No, tactics is a completely different game. It is based on the tactics ogre engine on the SNES IIRC.

I was only giving an example of games being ported down instead of up

That's not really right though. In FFT's case, it's like porting a SNES port to the GBA. the SNES and the GBA are about equivalent. FFT was a PSX game, but it was based on a SNES engine.

no matter the power of the consoles, ports have to be from OLDER system to NEWER system and never the other way around
i was only amused by the fact that he was complaining about the fact that people suddenly stopped developing games for the PSX and actually are working on games for the new consoles, i mean that was really a surprise and i was pretty shocked to see this unexpected development myself

Plus the fact that the FF's on the original game boy weren't Final Fantasy... They were Final Fantasy Adventure IIRC.

eh? They are really gluttons for punishment aren't they? After FF8, I didn't think they would have the guts until FF11 came out.

Is this official news?

I'd like to hear what this source is as well, especially considering FF IX was the worst seller of the three PSX RPGs and would have even less of an appeal in the PC market than the two previous ports before it. The only reason FF XI is going to be put on the PC is because there IS a big market for online RPGs there.

Check www.ffonline.com

It's there. And their news I find to be pretty reliable. It might be a spam though since the graphics look like they came from an emu
