Access Denied

How come that when I try to read the board rules it says "Access Denied". It's kinda funny whne you think about it.

I have NEVER run into an access denied page while here. Plenty of other error pages, but not that.

I was trying to check it at school. No wonder. THey must have had some block on it or something. Now it works fine. Sorry for the inconveinience!

yeah. It also blocks hotmail, and other sites. The school network sucks though. IT crashes almost every week. Sometimes I wonder what the administrators (of the school network) were on when they designed it. The blocking system is mostly so you don't visit unproper sites. And who do you think found all the "improper" sites? You guessed it. The administrators. Hypocrits

The High school I went to had no 'net blocking thing up but they did have foolproof for a couple years. then the tech people did something using Norton Ghost so that every time the computer was restarted or shut down, It restored the computer to a basic setup (everything installed by students was erased, like it was just brought home from the computer store) With this setup there were starcraft multiplayer games everyday and the tech people didn't know a thing

They didn't need a net site blocker because they could track you every where you went on the net due to the network. I saw the log after one kid was busted for going to a.....inappropriate site. (I was the teacher aide)

The computers still sucked though. (Half Pentium 1 and half 386's)

Yeah.... but like I said... our school is too cheap t assign peopel to look at the logs. It keeps them, but no-one cares. And besides, everyone signs on as "Student" anyway so there are really no logs yto check.

And I thought my high school was cheap. The school website is run, designed, and maintained entirely by the students of the Web Mastering II class. (They're graded on it) Plus when a computer caught fire and practically ruined the case & monitor, the tech people came in, wiped it off, and said "It's fine" Most of the screen came up with really weird colors. I went to there today, a year & half later, and it's still like that.

this is the same in every school, it doesn't matter if it's private or public, the computer in the schools are only a dream (and we're on the 21 century) even on supossely advanced countries like the EEUU...

the computers in my school go 3 ways
some have total internet access, mean EVERYTHING
others dont have internet
and the ***est ones only have access to one site

All the computers at our school have internet access. It's just that the site database is so restricted. They haven't caught this site yet though. Let's hope they never will. Most of the computers at this school are so old though... And right now I have a feeling as if I am connected at 8Kb/sec although sometimes I download at 56Kb/sec. The speed varies tooo much!

Wow. I wish we had that. I think we're stuck with several ISDN lines though. Slower, and more expensive. The school is so dumb.
