No way to change emu settings in-game...

this is something that really annoys me about epsxe... if I play a game and something's off (like stuttering sound) I have to keep restarting every time I want to try a new setting. How do people cope with this? Is there a (mostly) universally compatible config? A good alternative?

UPDATE: Well found a current list of all emus and after trying them all these are the only ones that let you change settings in-game

pSX 1.13
PSXeven 0.19
xebra 110425

Of the 3 only PSXeven uses plugins, and xebra is the only emu that has drag and drop support. So now I'm torn between convenience and better graphics ;9

Also found out the cause of my audio stuttering wasn't exactly tied to epsxe but apparently my 2.4ghz i7 didn't have enough juice for that particular audio setting O_O (it went away after I turned TB on for 3.2ghz)
