Problem with 360 control sticks
Greetings. I've been having a few problems with the analog sticks of a 360 control. It's not a problem with the control or installation as it's fine with other emulators. I've seen a few people posting about problems with the right stick, or the axes reversing but couldn't find a fix. I'm playing Final Fantasy 8 at the moment, with the control properly set up in config. However, when you use the left analog to move diagonally (so up + left, down + right etc) the character will revert to walking instead of running, as if the stick was only being pushed halfway. Of course for this particular game the issue is more of a nitpick than a gamebreaker, as I could set the stick to use the D pad. I just like being able to move with the stick and browse menus with the pad. Am I just being an idiot here, or is this a known issue/bug with epsxe not handling the 360 controller's axes properly? I'm aware it hasn't been updated for quite a while, so this is what I'm assuming. Anyway, thought I'd ask to clear it up. Cheers. edit: Just a little bit of info. I've tried 1.70 and 1.60, with Pete's OpenGL 1+2. Last edited by Clab; June 23rd, 2012 at 19:49.. |

Thanks, I see what's happening now. Funnily enough I just had exactly the same problem after setting up pcsx2 using the lilypad plugin. In that case however, the options were far more customizable so I was able to get around it by simply increasing the sensitivity. I'll just use another psx emulator with your plugin as you suggest. Cheers. |

You can check the PDF if you wanna see how it doesn't reach the corners, the point cloud being the sticks with the square being what the PS games are used to. Thus, I made it extend to the corner when going over the small circle so as to not lose H and V range. Also you can use LilyPad in PSX emulators too! It's compatible too. |

None. Just keep at least ePSXe(last three versions) + Shark and PCSX-Reloaded at hand and use both. You can make them share the same plugin folder and set them up for the same memorycards. With PCSXr you can also have... PCSX-Reloaded... Widescreen! XD |

I have fixed common problem installing force feedback drive. Fixed vibration and axis issue for me with ePSXe. Link: XInput Force feedback driver. |
