Couple of questions

Hi, I've used ePSXe before but its been so long a lot of what I remember about it has changed

I just had a couple of questions:

1)I've been using magic disc to create bin and cue files of my games but do I actually need both files since the tutorial video I watched said to play using the cue files. Can I just delete the bin files?

2)Can you recommend me some settings based on my spec (ideally for playing FF7 and Xenogears)

Windows Vista 64
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU EB400 @ 3.00ghz
4gig RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4870

I've been playing around with the settings and I'm almost happy with them but I'm noticing that most of my games (especially during FMV's) appear to have a "cloudy" texture and don't appear very sharp. I'm also noticing that text during dialogue and battle screens in FF7 isn't very sharp either and looks quite pixelated.

3)Can you recommend some sound settings to get the best out of FF7 and Xenogears. Certain sound effects are somewhat distorted.

4)What can I do if I run out of space on my two initial memory cards? Can I create more and how do you swap them around?

That should be all for now thanks.

1. CUE files just contain the description for what's in the BIN files, that contain the actual data. You would've guessed that if you checked the filesize.

2/3. Pete's OGL2 + PEOPS DSown 1.10. Search the forum for OGL2 settings and whatnots, and read the PEOPS thread if you need to configure it (although I think the zip comes with a guide now).

4. Memcards are just files, so you can even have one per game... with the hassle of managing files or settings each time. Or, you can check MemcardRex (homesite is down though) and might be enough.

Well, if you delete the BIN file you end up with just a descriptor with no data... so... yes, better keep the BIN file and its CUE file. ¬_¬
