Kega Fusion not remembering controllers after disconnect

I am really really sorry for posting this here, but for the life of me, I could not find any genesis section :S

I am having a small problem with kega fusion.

I set kega fusion up with my 4 xbox 360 controllers and everything was working correctly.
When I went to use fusion later on (with only one pad connected) in the settings it had only remember the pad that was still connected.

Basically Fusion forgets a pad once fusion has been loaded without the pad being switched on.

For most people this would only be a small problem, however I am setting this up for my HTPC, in which I won't have a mouse etc connected, so I could really really do with it remember all of the pads I had set up with it....
