How to turn on frame skipping using pete's plugin?
I know how to enable it with the box checked and everything. What I want to know (which i can't seem to find) is what the default key to turn it on. I know number key 9 turn off the 60fps cap limit but what the key do you push to actually turn on the frame skipping? Thanks |

It's the same key and btw at the right side "Show FPS display on startup" there is a button "..." and from there you can set the shortcut keys for couple of things I use the gui menu and enable/disable/switch the frame limit, frame skipping, filters and so on. PS.Once you enable the menu if you enable the info too, you'll see what each option is for |

I get these things to set shortcut keys to. ![]() Simply turning off the FPS cap limit doesn't do anything. Their is some way to toggle the actual frame skipping on or off. I could very well have a outdated version of the plugin or I'm seriously missing something here. Just turning off the FPS limit makes it so it goes above 60FPS and not stay at 60 while frame skipping. |

The only way to enable/disable the frame limit/skipping is either by using the PEC(psx emulation cheater)plugin and after that use Ctrl+K to enter the video plugin settings and enable/disable the frame limit/skipping or during gameplay press the Delete button(Show/hide GPU menu)and from there,enable/disable the frame skipping/limit. The first options on the menu that appear above is for the frame limit(switch between 3 modes)and the second is for enabling/disabling the frame skipping. BTW either I don't remember how it works(the frame skipping...it was long ago the last time I use ePSXe)or the frame skipping only works with the Soft video plugin(P.E.Op.S Soft...I don't have Pete's soft plugin...if such plugin actually exist) |

Oh I think I got but it doesn't work really. I heard people getting like 800fps and crap and can level up in games like crazy and crap. When I use it it stay at 60fps and when I try to move my character just skip around like its skipping frame but not really like I was hoping. I thought it would be like the SNES emulator SNES9x frame skipping or something but maybe I'm doing something wrong? I just don't know how people are getting like 800fps and crap when it seems like I'm doing everything right. |

Making the game to run so fast increases the chance something wrong to happen...like the game to freeze of the emu to crash. Use the P.E.Op.S Soft video plugin to get the max speed possible from your CPU(I get ~400 on Legend of Legaia in battle and without frame skipping ~200fps) At least for me the P.E.Op.S soft plugin is the fastest of all(I hope you wont mind the bad graphics since you are not actually going to play with such speed) |

right but my FPS never increases above 60 even with the limits turned off. Well here is the thing when the limit is turned on it caps itself at 59.8FPS and when its off. The highest I seen it get to is like 61.2 for a split second rarely but mainly stays at 60.8 or so. I am running 1.66ghz duo core processor. With this I never seen the emulator take up hardly any of my precessing power even when running. So i don't know.

Hmm,do you get more speed when you hold the 9 key? Can you post a picture of your plugin settings. You can also try the OGL 1.78 plugin or like I already said the P.E.Op.S Soft video plugin |

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-004692.htm Seems you can only disable v-sync for OpenGL.

So does that mean I can't do it with my system? Also CheatMaster are you referring to my PEOPS plugin settings or Pete's? |

It means if you use the OGL plugins(which you actually use),you can disable the video sync I don't know(rather I don't remember)if Pete have soft video plugin. I'm using the P.E.Op.S soft video plugin and with it I can reach really high fps compared to the other OGL1/2 or D3D plugins. Just as info, the OGL2 plugin takes the most resources of all(OGL1/D3D or Soft)even if you don't enable any enhancements. Also you didn't answer my question...do you get more speed if you hold the 9 key(Turn off fps limit while pressed) |

I did answer your question in Post #7. If you want to me to say it again the answer is yes I get more speed but only but 1fps more that's it. I'm gonna try the OGL plugin with Pete's. I been using the DX63D V 1.76 plugin. Im gonna try and disable vsync. Update: After checking all of my plugins their is not a single one with a Vsync option except for Kazzuya's and it wont let me turn it ff nor does it have a frame skipping feature in it as well. I think Im stuck with vsync automatically and it can't be changed. I really don't know but this is how it looks. Last edited by fade2black001; October 1st, 2011 at 17:00.. |

Guess I didn't saw that post. Did you check the link that fivefeet8 posted...it shows how to disable the video card vsync option on every Windows version Disable it and use some of the OGL plugins. BTW P.E.Op.S Soft and P.E.Op.S OGL 1.78 have vsync option(probably Petes OGL1 plugin too...they are really similar) |

I'm **** out of luck man. I can't disable it its not possible unless I get rid of the dell GPU driver and add the one that intel made themselves but they said it could cause problems. If it does i'll just switch it back. I'll let you know in all due time. You see Dell makes custom drivers for their systems and is in generally in your best interest to use them or you could have problems. So I will find out and see what happens after installing the Intel specific made one instead of the Dell one. Update: The driver works fine and was able to turn off vsync but it changed nothing. I tried PEOPS plugin again and get the same results. Last edited by fade2black001; October 1st, 2011 at 18:30.. |

PEOPS still runs with windows dx api and according to your video card driver information, you can't disable it for that. You'll want to try the disabled v-sync with the OpenGL plugin.

Dude I can't disable Vsync with any OGL plugin. Their is simply not a option for me to do so. I cant do it in petes or any other except for Kazzuya's. This has the only option to turn off vsync but I cant do it anyways because its greyed out and it also doesn't have frame skipping.
