saving problems

I'm having trouble getting Epsxe to save my game. The game I'm trying to run is Chrono Cross. Now, heres what happens:

1) I can't use save states. I tried using the menu, I pushed F1 during the game, I tried switching slots, but nothing works. I minimize it and go into the sstates folder, and there are no files in there. When I try to load the game, of course nothing happens.

2) I keep playing anyway, and finally get to the actual save point. It "appears" to have saved. The game's picture apears on the memcard and everything. But when I quit the game and come back later, it wont load. I tried loading from both memcards 1 and 2, but it says neither of them have a saved game!

Save States

I've had problems before using save states and memory cards. Basically, in EpsxE, don't use the memory cards. They have never worked for me. EVer. Save states seem to work ok, I have Chrono Cross too. Since the save states are part and parcel of the program, I guess you might have to reinstall.

run regedit and find in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software the epsxe or vision thing and delete it.

this erases the configs u made in epsxe.

Heh, it works now

I reinstalled and cleared out that registry entry. I don't know which of those fixed it, but it works now. Thanks for the help.

Reeking of Awesomeness..

I did that too, funny enough, last night, deleting that Vision Thing. What exactly was that, anyways?

It's just another registry folder that epsxecutor uses

Actually, its the registry of key that the psempro pluggin system uses.. It's not epsxe that uses it, but the pluggins do.. Keeps the settings of the gpu pluggins in it..

Yeah, it's a relic of PSEmuPro by Vision Thing. You'll see that with any emu that uses the PSEmuPro plugin system.
