Talk about a worthless piece of junk. Why would you pay up a lot of cash to be able to surf from your fridge? That's absolutely worthless. Maybe cool, but definitely worthless.

Ah, I see what it's about. "Home Network can be defined as the future appliance system to make it possible to operate home appliances through mobile handsets or from outer area by connecting them with Internet. Actually, after completion of Home Network, many things which goes beyond our expectation will come true and our lives will be more convenient and comfortable." I still don't see how that would be particularly useful with a fridge, however.

I think its original purpose is to hook up with the likes of Webvan and other online grocers. But with Webvan's filing for bankruptcy a few months ago, I highly doubt its usefulness anymore. Why check email from a fridge?

Cool, so now you don't have to walk to the fridge anymore. Just type and E-mail and you girlfriend can come upstairs and bring you your beer

maybe they are trying to make up for the loss of "sandwich making" time while trying to dial up..
now that cell phones can alert you to email, i dont see a point in home appliances doing it. but it might be interesting if you could download recipes, customize microwave buttons (ie more than just "popcorn") and ultimately network your kitchen to make breakfast for you before you get up!
