Low framerate compared to Boycott Advance ON MAC
Hi. I downloaded VBA. First, it had trouble saving. But I followed some steps from another thread on here, and finally got it to work. My main problem with this emulator now is the framerate. I am very happy to be able to save the game and play with sound, but I don't know if I can stand the chuggy display. I then tried Boycott. It's great. I would totally use it if it weren't because the sound is quite similar to a pig screeching as it's tail is getting pulled hard. It sounds SO bad. I changed the sound to GBC sound, then there is no problem. But I want the GBA sound, which Boycott on Mac appearently can't handle. The gameplay, though, was really smooth, and I wished that VBA was just as smooth. Or that the sound on Boycott was as good as on VBA. Appearently you can't have both things? Any solutions to how I can improve the framerate in VBA (I use version 1.7.4), or how to improve the sound in Boycott? A solution of either problem would be great! Thanks! |

There's a universal binary version, I think it's called "VBA-M." At least, that was its name when I downloaded it.

Can you give me a link to the one you downloaded, and maybe tell me how it works?
