ePsxe w/ ff9 configuration help + insight

Hey i just made a copy of my ff9 and was hoping to get it to work. amazingly i got it to start up and run through but the battle actions wouldn't come up... so i tinckered one setting at a time for trial and error and failed... it crashed so i backtracked and now it wont start up.

My config is as follows. I have deleted my old config and even tried starting over and failed,

ePSXe 1.7 w 3 petes 3d3/dx6 3d3/openGL
Am using the XXX10001.bin bios

i was wondering if someone could help me configure this. I am running this off a 1080p LCD-TV and would like some quick explanation to why you chose the config and what would be best. If someone could shed some light i hope i have provided as much information as possible to help you help me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
