Transferring PS2 saves to PC

I just bought an adapter off ebay, for $5, that transfers my PS2 saves (from a PS2 memory card) to PS3, which then can be transferred to PC. I don't know except from watching youtube videos, it transfers as .psv files which isn't accessible using PCSX2. Is anyone familiar with this? I want to finally finish my PS2 games.

I'm pretty sure I saw a tutorial here for converting PSV saves to PS2 format. Using the iPad is a bit of a pain though so I'll let you search for that one. I think one of the programs you need is called MyMC. I think that's what I used when I was copying my FFXII saves. Not sure if you'll need PSV Exporter, too.
