Trading Pokemon Leaf Green
I was playing the first Pokemon games these days and thought: "why not finishing fire red/leaf green this time" So I was playing fire red, when I thought about how nice it would be to trade. A few google clicks and downloads later I had the multiplayer version of VBA on my PC and - surprise, surprise - it weren't worked due to a save error. After some more google-abuse I discovered that its because of fire-red (so all pokemon is not possible, but thats not much of a big deal). Then I atleast wanted to get it to work to get Golem & Alakazam later on and after 2 hours of trying with different versions I finally was able to get it working with the new version. First I always had "communication error"-message, but then I throttled via frameskip and it were working. Since I wanted to get it to work stable, I tried again and it didn't work anymore again with the "communication error". My prediction is, when you enter the trading room, both emulators have to be excactly synchronic at this point and I was a little lucky that it worked this one time. So is there any way to make it more stable to minimize this communication error? Maybe trying with the priorities or any other things? Sorry for the long text, but I tried to put down everything I tried and I know for you to make an easier diagnosis. |
