syphon filter!!

hi guys, im relatively new to emulation (i was pretty poor growing up so i couldnt afford my own pc till a cuple of months ago) and this is my first ever thread. Despite this ive had lots of success running project 64 with assorted games. EPSXE however is a bit more complicated; ive managed to get a cuple of games working but right now im trying to play syphon filter 1, i have managed to get the emulation running but the controller just doesnt respond, yet it works fine with the other games. Help please??

What kind of controller do you have and what version of ePSXe?
