Dxbx testers needed
Do you have a lot of xbox games stored somewhere ? Are you the person who like to play those games again, and can not wait for the new dxbx release? Is it no problem to spend some free time in running all games in hope some games will give some output ? Then this is your change.. Dxbx team is looking for some more testers in the test team. Let us know how manny games you have and how to contact you. Prehaps you can be part of the test team then. Update: we are looking for 5 testers to give extra support on testing Last edited by shadow_tj; October 15th, 2010 at 10:02.. |

I have about 15-ish ripped, but I technically don't own the games... (I have a GameCube & Wii while my best friend has an Xbox & 360, so we cover each other's bases) Luckily since my friend is into FPS and his brother is into racing, he has most of the games I have on the GameCube that were multiplatform. However I figured my best asset would actually be my older hardware. Heck I have 2 other PCs with even less RAM and older GPUs (but nearly identical CPUs to mine). But even then, I myself am already going OCD with trying to get things done (yet still also failing to do so), and even more distractions are not going to be useful... Basically I want to, but I know I shouldn't. (heck I even have beta testing and bug/error reporting experience!) So uh, I... don't know....

Sorry to meddle I don't have any xbox games. But can you explain why it doesn't work on x64. Can't you just use the compatibility tab and pick another OS to run it?

Hmm... nobody here seems to have particularly low specs.... Man I'm so tempted to try beta testing just on that merit, but it'll give me an even larger backlog! Gaaaaaahhhhhhh.... Somebody shoot me.

Well, you can go to the DXBX source code release site (dxbx | Download dxbx software for free at SourceForge.net), then dig into the source code files page somewhere and you may find one folder that shows all of the Xbox games that have been tested and confirmed for the emulator.

I think it would be very useful to maintain a database of XDK where people can put their info. Developer than know what games work on what XDK and try them. My opinion.
