Curiosity about xbox emulation

I know i am new to this site an will probably get flamed like crazy, but I am very curious about xbox emulation. The xbox as a system has interested me since the day i got mine so naturally i would like to see an emulator for it. I am curious because it runs on a pentium 3 and nvidia graphics card and uses what seems to be x86 software to operate. I just would like somebody to explain more about how it works so that I and other people will be able to have a better understanding.

I'm going to be a complete dork and give you the first two google hits on "xbox hardware overview" : Xbox Hardware Overview - Xbox-Linux and Xbox - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Good luck reading that ;-)
