Electronic Arts chief executive John Riccitiello is feeling “awfully good” about the Mass Effect 3 launch.” Speaking at today’s Wedbush Technology, Media and Telecommunications Conference in New York City, Riccitiello estimated that the game sold 890,000 units during the first 24 hours in North-America alone, meeting the company’s expectations: “We anticipated it doing well, so we’re happy.”

For the immense amount of hype and all that marketing EA did plus the game being multiplatform i expected this to hit the 2 million in 24 hours.

Wonder what happened.

It sold well in their eyes, but what about how fans feel about the game? It seems everyone is disappointed with this last part of the trilogy. It kinda bugs me that they think more about sales than how good their game actually is.

My biggest gripe with ME3 is that there is no epilogue.......Even text+pictures would of been a great way to tell us the fate of our crew members........I also thought some characters got shafted concerning the end of their character arcs(Kaiden/Ashely, Jacob, Jack, Not sure about Thane as I missed the chance to meet him). I should've just romanced Liara again instead of exploring the new romancing "options"...

Indeed, that and disregarding our previous choices are ME3's biggest flaws. No matter what you do, there is no good ending and the choice of it comes at the very end. Plus ripping of the ending from another game in a production of such caliber is inexcuseable.

I thought the whole point of the ME series was to be an RPG were that didn't happen? They certainly kept going on and on about it for the first two games.
