I was hosting a game called Monster Rancher 2 via netplay and cyberpad 1.4 when I noticed the strangest thing. I set up the 1 player vs 2 player both as computer players and started the match everything seemed to be working fine until my friend said that one of the monsters on his end knocked out the other one while on mine this had not happened. I don't think this is a desync because there are two copies of the ISO working to govern the match on both computers. I had forgotten to give him a copy of my memcard data and it was selecting information from his the first time we tried it. So its like a puppeteer kind of situation I select the two comps on both of our computers but when the match starts individual ISO AI take over and two different matches happen. What I wanted to happen is for the same match to be watched by me and him between our two monsters that were controlled by the computer. Is there any way to have that happen or are computer driven matches not viewable through netplay?

It is not desync because I checked every detail of the plugins between mine and his and made certain they were exactly the same down to the most minute details along with the same mem card data. If you want to see this Phenomenon in action get a copy of MR2 and try it for yourself before replying to this post unless you have something else to contribute. There was no high ping either.

Is desync something that would be completely consistent? If not then this is not it. Because it happens without fail and does not ever produce a case where my battle and his are the same one with the same results. Under ideal conditions isn't this a bit far fetched to be desync?

I know exactly what you mean. All emulators i have tried that use Kalliera, always there is at least one game that consistently desyncs on certain parts. I have no idea why.
