Does VBA-M support the .frz files used with VBA?
Hello! I just compiled VBA-M from source for OS X and I'm very impressed... it seems to run infinitely smoother than the last VBA released for Mac. I'm trying to load up a save file that I made with VBA though, and I can't seem to figure out how. You make the file in VBA by selecting "Option > Freeze State", and it creates a .frz file which is your save state. Is it possible to load this .frz file up in VBA-M so that I can pick up my game where I left off in VBA? Thanks in advance (pun unintentional!). |

I'm not sure since I have 0 experience with Macs but if they are compatible then there should be load state option somewhere on the emu (it's under File->Load State from in the Windows version) that allows you to browse to a file of a previous created save state rather than a merely selecting a previous state from 1 through to 10 like usual and using that option you could see if it loads the file for you. If that option exists and it does not load the file then they are obviously not compatible.

It's not terribly hard to do though. I followed this guide, which should work perfect, except it fails to mention you need SFML too. So, make sure you download SFML from the link I justy provided and follow the "Installing SFML" part of this tutorial to install it. Let me know if you get stuck! |
