FLaReTecH Internet Media Player

Hello Everybody,

I recently started work on an Internet Media Player. It's under heavy development right now, but I felt that it was far along enough to show off and get some comments and suggestions. The player's controls are only temporary. They'll soon be embedded into the actual body of the player. The clutter will also be greatly reduced as I plan to group the controls into dialog pages similar to the about dialog where they will call back to the player page. The media database will also be expanded. It's not much of a priority right now. It doesn't even need to be there, because the player can play local files off your hard drive. I just want to demonstrate the many aspects of its capabilities.
I plan to add a lot of things....

I'm developing under Windows XP. So, I'm fortunate enough to have WMP 8. This player requires WMP 7+. I chose to go this route, because 7 is better organized and actually supports a lot more than 6.4. I'd suggest a resolution of at least 1024 x 768. I only have 1 remote broadband song, Nelly Furtado, in case somebody wanted to try it out.

That should be about it. I'm open for suggestions...
Oh....and it would help me out if some people could click on that "support" link. It generates $0.03 per click

Enjoy

**UPDATE**
I just added some stuff to FIMP. It tracks how many users are listening, contains a timer showing the current position within the media, and it analyzes several media attributes, now.

Oh yeah! New url -> http://fimp.flaredomain.net

** ANOTHER UPDATE **
This isn't huge, I just thought it was cool...

http://fimp.flaredomain.net/player.a...uthofthenation

You're now able to specify a piece of media for autostart within the url. There's also a quality attribute that you can add onto the url, if you wish. 'a' for dialup and 'b' for broadband.

So, the broadband version of that song would be:
http://fimp.flaredomain.net/player.a...tion&quality=b

One more thing, I changed the status handling procedure up a bit. I've been having trouble with my marquee math sizing the field incorrectly for certain status lengths. I think I fixed it, now. Status is now written to explorer's statusbar as well.

Anyway, feedback would be appreciated...
