No$GBa Save Help

Hi,

I'm a new user, and i've been poring over the faqs, and the frequently asked questions, but I cant find a solution to my problem.

Basically, I was using No$Gba version 2.6 a, haven't touched any of the settings, when i went under file and accidentally clicked resent cartridge.

What happened is that now, when i try to play that ds game...there is no load option. I went into battery, and there's a .sav file for it sitting there, but when i open the game in no$gba...my only option is new game, I can't load...

Can someone PLEASE tell me what i stupidly did wrong?

Thank you for any help, it's really appreciated

Which game are you talking about? Did loading work before? Resetting (not resenting, by the way, though that's a funny one...) a game doesn't influence whether you can load the game, unless you did it while the game was saving and corrupted the save; same as would have happened if you had turned off your real DS while the "Saving in progress" window was showing.
Also make sure your NDS backup media is set to Auto under F11.

It's final fantasy tactics a2. Up until now i've been saving in-game, with the game's normal save feature, as i would do on a ds, and it's been working fine, put in like 30 hours this way.

However i reset cartidge, and within the game, the load function just isnt available.

As mentioned, resetting the cartridge shouldn't do that in and of itself.
Check if your NDS backup media is set to Auto (preferred) or EEPROM 64k.

im having the exact same problem with the same game. i was in the middle of a battle and did a 'save battery file' on no$zoomer. i have a .sav file for the game and my cartridge backup media is EEPROM 64 bytes (which is correct) but when i go to 'load the latest battery' nothing happens and it just goes to the title screen of the game, which now says i can only start a new game and not load my previous one :/

thanks in advance!

No$Zoomer's "Save Battery file" option only writes the .sav file, in case the emulator crashes and the data would otherwise be lost. If you didn't save the game with its in-game option, there'll be no data to load. Using the "Load the latest battery" option is only viable if you used a secondary battery file.

Try the settings seen below.
If it still doesn't work, simply attach your save file for me to test.

Seeing as your save's file name consist of scene release group name, you most likely have downloaded the game. We don't support piracy, read the forum's rules.

With no$gba 2.6 you manually have to set the savetype for every game. Check the stickied FAQ to find out what the savetype might be.

Be careful however since some games (I don't remember whether that includes Pokemon Diamond or Nightmare Troubadour) will erase the save if loaded with the incorrect savetype. So once you're done playing the one and want to switch to the other make a backup copy of your save in another folder somewhere just to be safe. (I mean Pokemon Diamon for instance could erase the save if loaded with the savetype you used for Nightmare Troubadour (and without a third game there's no way to switch the savetype before that happens) so keep a backup just in case. If you're lucky the game just won't load.
